The GREEN FUND with its Board Decision No. 314.7.1/2026/10.06.2026 co-finances the 101113792 — LIFE22-NAT-EL-LIFE MareNatura project for year 2026 with the total amount of €182,951.00. According to the aforementioned decision, co-financing totaling to €34,121.00 is provided to the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR), €15,800.00 is provided to the University of the Aegean (UAegean), €25,000.00 is provided to Mediterranean Association to Save the Sea Turtles (MEDASSET), €9,030.00 is provided to the National Observatory of Athens (NOA), €33,000.00 is provided to Hellenic Society for the Study and Protection of the Monk Seal (MOm), €33,000.00 is provided to the Hellenic Ornithological Society (HOS) and also the amount of €33,000.00 is provided to ARCHELON the Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece.
The LIFE MareNatura project has a total budget €10,707,188.54 and is being implemented by: Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR), the Natural Environment and Climate Change Organization (NECCA), the University of the Aegean, the University of Crete – Natural History Museum of Crete, the National Observatory of Athens, the Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA), the Hellenic Ornithological Society (HOS), Hellenic Society for the Study and Protection of the Monk Seal (MOm), ARCHELON The Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece, the Mediterranean Association to Save the Sea Turtles (MEDASSET) , the Nature Conservation Consultants-NCC and WaterProof Marine Consultancy and Services BV.
The project will be completed in June 2029.
