Αποστολή εξπρές του LIFE MareNatura με σκοπό τον εντοπισμό αναπαραγόμενων ενήλικων Αρτέμηδων (Calonectris diomedea) πραγματοποιήθηκε στα τέλη Ιουλίου.
Researchers from the NHMC-UoC carried out two fieldwork missions in Eastern and Western Crete, aiming to find breeding adult Scopoli’s shearwaters (Calonectris diomedea) for radio-tagging.
In total, five transmitters were deployed on breeding adults, while morphometric and biometric data were also collected.
The first findings are particularly intriguing: birds from Western Crete appear to head south, whereas those from Eastern Crete head north.
We eagerly await to see where their journeys will ultimately lead!
